Ive in recent times bough a 60gb ps3 and i already enjoy wifi ect.?

when i tried to connect to the internet (i ididnt have the ps3 connected to anything) it wouldnt connect and it unsophisticatedly said i didnt have an internet conection. is this because i didnt hold the ps3 plugged into anytghing or that my computer and wirless router are in another room? or do i have need of to buy an internet thing?

relief would be appreciated alot.

Answers:    You don't need to buy anything.

If you bought the 60GB newspaper, it comes equipped with WiFi which resources that you should be able to connect to the internet wirelessly in need the need to connect ANY wires from the PS3 to your Modem or Router.

I ponder maybe your wireless router may be out of the PS3's compass and that could be the reason why your PS3 can't connect to the internet, eventhough "range" is usually not a problem beside the PS3's WiFi card.

I would try running an ethernet wire (yes I know, it stinks) from your PS3 to you router, if your PS3 connects to the internet, afterwards you know the problem is in you wireless nouns and may nned to relocate your wireless router or buy a better one.

HOPE THIS HELPS AND GOOD LUCK!

ps3 has built within wi-fi. so you need to dance to network settings and budge through the connection settings and next just follow what it say then you will be connected
