Hey guys i have a router downstairs, and i own my laptop upstairs. My laptop is wireless, and is connected to the router downstairs. If i plug my Ethernet cable into my laptop, will i be able to catch Live on my Xbox? Thanks guys, i am having especially difficulties trying to get Xbox Live. My laptop is connected near the Ethernet cable to my Xbox 360, upstairs. And i've tried many times, but when i do the question paper it says its wired, but the IP Address former. What do i have to do?
Answers: If its vista run to network and sharing center later click on view status.select properties. click on TCP/IPv6 and set it to find IP adreses automaticly, later do the same for TCP/IPv4 and it should work.If you enjoy xp then you travel to control pannel and go to my n etwoprk locations after right click on the network and select properties, later it is the same as above.
