How do I see wifi on a 40 GB PS3?

I was trying to access the internet because I know that 40 GB ps3 has wifi, but it said that it couldn't detect a signal. I own wifi in my house but it wouldn't pick it up. Under net settings it told me that the type of connection is wired nouns, but I couldn't change it. Could anyone sustain me?


Answers:    If you want to use the WiFi with the PS3, the Current nouns setting must be wireless, not wired.

Go to Network Settings and click on it

Go to Internet Connection Settings and click on it. Click yes when the screen say the system will be disconnected if you perform internet nouns settings.

Select Easy

Then select Wireless

Now go to Scan. The PS3 will scan for your router and the PS3 should pick up your router if it's contained by your house. After the PS3 picks up your router, complete the rest of the setup.
should be under framework settings you can choose wireless or wired. You will need to hit scan to find your wireless net and if it is WEP secured then you enjoy to enter the password. You can find that in the router settings by typing 192.168.1.1 surrounded by your IE address bar. If it is not letting you choose wireless afterwards I couldn't tell you for sure why it would do that. Maybe try restoring the ps3 system to factory settings and see if that help any.
