Help hooking up my ps3 to my surround if it's possible..?
Answers: This interview is a bit vague. I'm guessing you don't suggest there's an AUX input on your remote, but rather one on your DVD player, that you use an AUX button on your remote to switch over to...?
If so, a short time ago disconnect the line from the audio out on the TV to the AUX input on the DVD player, and plug surrounded by the red and white audio cables from your ps3 instead. You won't want sound generate from your TV set to go out to your surround speakers, when you're not watching TV, right? When you use your ps3, what you want to hear comes from your ps3. Run the Yellow cable to the video within on the TV, and red and white to AUX-in on DVD.
Believe it or not, you really do get 5.1 channel on just those two cords.
A more convenient setup would be to use a heir, which has oodles inputs. A lot of DVD players are sold with surround outputs simply to make them cheap, and the heir is sacrificed for the sake of cheapness, making it harder to connect other hardware and build a big entertainment system.
