Help me next to my playstation 2?

my PS2 is a peice of ****...the problem is when i put a ps2 game it one and only reads it for aprox. 3 secs (or very well flashes "reading disc" 3 times) and then imediatly stops. so i enjoy to sit there for atleast 15 minutes eject the disc and putting it back within untill it finally decides to cooperate, but usually i confer up trying. another problem i have that started to appear a while back is it wont play ps1 games or games near the CD colored purple on the subsidise of them but thats not the major issue right very soon. ( i have one of the hoary bulky ps2's) is there anything i can do to fix it lacking having to buy a completly up to date ps2? :(


Answers:    If you have a disk read error on your playstation 2 console buy a dvd lens cleaning paraphernalia for under 12 dollars. Insert the cleaning disk cd into the ps2 system and permit it clean. It may pinch one or two cleanings to fully work. Then clean once a month by repeating the above steps.
Do a google dig out for "ps2 disk read error". This was a problem next to all of the elder PS2s, and starts with it individual unable to read the elder CD-based games. Eventually it'll be unable to read any discs.

It's essentially caused by dust accumulate around the lens, knocking it out of alignment. It might be possible to fix by pipe your PS2 and carefully cleaning the nouns with a q-tip. If that doesn't work though, you'll hold to get a fresh drive for the PS2 (you can buy them online) or just return with a new (used) PS2. Be extremely punctilious when opening your PS2 as within are some very exquisite ribbon cables that connect the front panel to the prime mother board. These are very smooth to knock loose, and very difficult to plug vertebrae in. Again, look on the network for detailed instructions, take your time, and be cautious.
my dad can fix it but you have to rewire the unharmed ps2 the laser reader also and to repair it at a show takes as much money as a ps2 costs by itself what psyche tell u to do is put on the market it on ebay for 100 dolars and buy a new one
