My controler 4 my xbox 360 broke so I get one from my friend. The controller won't sync?

My controller just won sync. Is it locked to another xbox. If so how do I unlock it.


Answers:    try to put a exotic battery contained by, if not merely connect it to the usb connection . nearby is nothing discouraging by playing with a "wired" controller or a short time ago push the sync botton on the 360 and on the controller.
Are you syncing it correctly? Mash the sync button on the 360 then the one on the controller.

If it doesn't work nick the battery out of the controller and try it again. It shouldn't be locked to the other xbox though.
