Are newer xbox 360's such as the xbox 360 arcade smaller amount prone to the "red ring of death"?
Answers: Yes.
Before you buy one, take the box and look for a sticker on it where on earth it shows the bar code and serial number and adjectives that.
Right at the buttom on the sticker, it says any 203W or 175W. If it is 203W it is still one the old ones and do NOT buy it. If it say 175W, so it is one the newer ones with Falcon chip on it and Buy it.
There are some other ways to find out if it is beside Falcon chip but the way i said above is the most guaranteed and newest route.
( before we have to check the Lot number and the Manufactured date on the console to see if it is with Falcon but you can forget give or take a few it )
remember : NEVER get a cooler because it have happened to MANY population getting their console blown up. google it and you will see how maaaany peopel are recommanding others NOT to get it.

who said that you wont get a RROD beside falcon chip ? No one. As i said before, if it say 175W then it is 100% falcon BUT it does NOT propose that you will not get red ring.
All posetive nearly falcon is decresing the chance of getting red ring and not cause it impossible to happen.
what frost gothic said is not necessarily true mete out my 360 elite get the red ring twice and i checked the serial number and it said 175w but what you need is any the cooler stand by Psychlone Essentials or any type of cooler for the 360 cuz the red rings caused by overheating
