How long can a PS3 stay on earlier it get really hot or overheats?

Note my PS3 has exceptionally good vent breathing space. But I'm other getting myself worried how long I should keep my system on for downloading demos and such....

I got my ps3 first week it come out in Australia - March 25th

And I've have it on since then - hardly turning it off, and it have never froze or broke on me :D

Oh and a PS3 will still work until it reaches 67 degree - after that it will overheat and melt :S
I've accidentally gone mine on for 72 hours straight before, and it be fine when I came fund. Shouldn't be to big of a problem.
