i got one nearly a week ago, it doesnt come with an ethernet cord so im gonna buy one today. is that adjectives i need? i own modems and routers, any other cords i need? can someone dispense me steps to follow to set it up? and do the 360 arcades come with a free month of xbox live?

When you get underway a Live account, it will be Gold for a month...afterwards it will downgrade to Silver, unless you pay to maintain the Gold.
And yeah, you need a (patch) ethernet cable.
