Will a 'HD ready' tv play playstation 3 games in high definition quality?

Answers:
you need 2 things to play a PS3 in HD. You need a HDTV. (make sure it's in 1080p), an HDMI cable will give you the best possible picture if you have 1080p. the HDMI cable costs somewhere around 20-60 dollars, but at monoprice.com you can get it for $5. At tigerdirect, it is $9.99. If you don't feel like getting an HDMI cable(which I recommend) then the cables that came with the PS3 should work just fine.
yes.

HD ready means that the TV is capable of displaying HD, but does not have it's own HD tuner. As long as you're hooking the PS3 up with component video a/v cables, or HDMI, then it will be in HD.
A good question. PS3 games are blu-ray, but the quality is more down to each games graphics. So in a word 'yes' they do. As mentioned hook up the HDMI leads
