Can you play both NTSC and PAL PS2 games on a PS3?

I want to play games from both formats and was a moment ago wodering since the PS3 is region free, can you play games from PS2 from both regions


Answers:    PS2 games are region locked. PS3 games are region free, but you can't play PS2 games from a different format on the Playstation 3.
Ps2 not legally but ps3 you can individual if it has a number 1 on the spine of the luggage. its at the bottom with a planet around it.
