Answers:    Legend of Zelda Twilight Princess: Don't agree to the name fool you, this is a drastically mature and excellent incident game, although minus guns, you can use bow and arrows.

Metroid Prime 3 Corruption: Perfect game for your boyfriend, although may be a bit strong at first. Best shooter game on adjectives consoles in my evaluation. Better than halo.

Resident Evil 4: THE gun winter sport. Like shooting zombies? This is the game for you- or err your boyfriend.

Resident Evil: Umbrella Chronicles: Basically same as above.

There are some are other perfect shooters and wars team game out, like:

Call of Duty 3, Medal of Honor and Battalion Wars.
