What hobby systems does Halo work next to? Is it with the sole purpose XBox 360?

I know absolutely nought about gaming, but I want to buy a endowment for a friend. He has Nintendo Wii, but since Halo is Microsoft, does it simply work with XBox 360?

Get the friend a Mario game, lots of them for the Wii. Halo3 is individual on the Xbox 360.
Yes Halo 3 does only work for the Xbox 360 but you might want to look at Metroid Prime 3: COrruption I own heard its a well-mannered game for the Wii, that or any Mario spectator sport too.
