On the PS3 how do you communicate near your friends online? Is in attendance a headset you can buy or something?
Answers: You can send manual messages with the onscreen grand piano or with a usb grand piano. You can also use almost any USB headset on the PS3, as well as almost any Bluetooth enabled headset. Bluetooth headset are the ones that new phones use and can be found for around 30-50 bucks. OR do what i did and jump buy Warhawk for 60 bucks , which is an incredible game that also comes next to a Bluetooth headset that cost 50 bucks on its own. As of the current firmware update, you can private chat with your friends using these headset, and also communicate in spectator sport of course. Voice messaging however is still a no-go.
To put in to what the first guy said, you can also use USB headsets as all right. The same ones that work for the PC and the PS2 will work for PS3. They are a less expensive but you own to deal next to the length of the cord.
EDIT: Oops, I missed that the first guy alread mentioned the USB headset...I guess I should be reading instead of just skimming.
