Ps3 40 GB vs. ps3 80 GB?
Answers: Ok the 40 gig will not play PS2 games. It will play ps1 games. You can upgrade the unyielding drive on either system. To a larger one if you aspiration. The 40 gig does not own media card slots. This allows you to belief pics straight from a SD card or compact flash etc. The 80 does. Both have wifi. So if you already own a PS 2 to play ps2 games. And don,t need the medium slots. You'll be fine.
One other thing. The 40 also solitary has 2 usb ports. But the usb ports are used generally for charging controllers (controllers are actually wireless).
If to the rear compatibility is important to you, after get the 80 gb, better however, get the 60 gb. The 20 and 60 gb have the emotion engine, which be the CPU used to run PS2 games, so the 20/60 gb version can play almost adjectives PS2 games. The 80 gb uses software emulation, so not as many PS2 games can be played on the 80 gb PS3.
If to the rear compatibility is not important to you whatsoever, afterwards go next to the 40 gb and save yourself a 100 bucks. The 40 gb can't play PS2 games, but it can play PSX games. I don't feel the flash drives or the 2 extra USB ports are all that exalted. Chances are that you probably don't need adjectives those extra stuff anyway.
According to an amazon review if you don't care nearly backward compatibility the 40gb is a honourable price.
