Madden 08 for laptop please aid me?

Ok I just put madden 08 on my computer, but it wont agree to me play it becasue it says (not ample memory available-try closing other applications or increasing virtual memory settings) So my question is how do I close applications? or increasing virtual memory settings?

A graphics-heavy activity such as Madden 08 will likely require a wearing clothes amount of RAM, especially if you're running Vista.

If you're running Vista I would suggest you upgrade to about 2GB of RAM to run a hobby like Madden, and 1GB should suffice if you're running it on XP.
