Why won't my PS2 play games that are blue on the bottom?

The games that I refer to are the ones with no DVD rom sign contained by the box nor the disk. Those anyone else have this problem?

Answers: Fairly adjectives problem after a few years of use. The laser is starting to give out.

do u have a slim or butter ps2??
most fat play them... slim don't (barely do they)
