Recently they released the Photo Channel copy 1.1, which claims to not allow MP3 use anymore, but AAC, yes, we all know how popular AAC is; something like as popular as George Bush, like a 320bit MP3 isn't lofty enough talent, or so they claim, and the fact you can store around 500 MP3's on a 2gb chip, within addition to activity saves.

As for contemporary channels, apart from games, not much else is announced, although, the Wii Version 2 is rumoured to enjoy CD and DVD playback.
