60GB ps3 backwards compatibility element?
the 80GB is 75%-85% backwards compatible.
and he 40 GB is 0%
also i have troop that the 60GB, even thought it is 100% backwards compatible, is very impossible quality.
I am wondering because I going to win a PS3 and dont know if I should buy the 80GB and keep my PS2 or provide the PS2 and get the 60GB sour of ebay.
thx
Answers: I've had my 60GB PS3 for a year and I hold had no issues next to playing any of my games including PS1 and PS2 games.
The 60GB PS3 isn't bad feature, everything that Sony makes is of the ultimate quality. Every PS1 and PS2 team game that I've put into my 60GB PS3 has played without blemish.
You should really get the 60GB PS3. The 80GB PS3 is compatible next to a lot of PS1 and PS2 games, but it have issues with playing confident games, and it isn't compatible with most newer PS2 games unless Sony releases an update that allows for compatibility near a certain winter sport. With the 60GB PS3, you can be absolutely sure that you can play any Playstation winter sport.
i have the 80GB and so far its 100% towards the back compatible... .. go to the sanctioned PS3 website and find out.

I own a 60gb PS3 model and have played my PS1 and PS2 games on it beside no issues, and they look very well-mannered. All my old games work fine. I can't speak for the other model PS3s but for full compatibilty and feature go near the 60gb model. You can also increase the hard drive size later on if you run out of room :) I own 750GB in my 60GB model. Good luck !
