I have alot of games which are online but I never play online previously. I can hook up my ps2 adsl modem, (is that broadband?). also i cant find a adptor anywhere else

Depending on how much you like playing beside others and how good you are. Some games resembling SOCOM 2 are corrupted with cheaters, so there's almost no lawful games anymore. If you have abundantly of free time and want to extend the life of your games, it surely worth the money.
