Is it possible to upgrade an xbox 360?

I got the xbox 360 "arcade" for Christmas, and be just wondering if it's possible to upgrade it, because I notice that this version doesn't hold an HD connection and is not sufficiently expert to play "over 300 xbox games". Can I also upgrade to 20 gigs if necessary? Is 256 mb satisfactory? I think it is, considering I've never even full up up an 8mb memory card, but why would 20 gigs be offered?

Answers:    a 20 gig HDD would allow you to play ingenious xbox games as long as you are connected to Live. With the 20 gigs you can download all sorts of things such as Demos and tv shows. I am not positive but i believe you can by ''component'' cable which would allow you to connect it to your HDTV. Finally the memory card will be just fine if adjectives you want to do is save games.
Well, i'm pretty sure that if you help yourself to it to those "mod" shops in your city, which "mod" stuff, they can install a bigger easier said than done drive. As for the HD av cable, i've never heard of one, but you could probably find an xbox360 cable somewhere, similar to in eb games, or best buy, or adjectives shop or something. also, another reasong that the 20 gig would be at hand is that you could get a mod chip for, similar to 50 bucks, and the back-up your games onto the hard drive of the xbox 360. or you could illegitimately download games off the internet *not good*
