Then do a system update. Automaticly, the Forcast & News channel will work. From there, enter the Wii Shop furrow, and download the Everbody Votes, Check Mii out, and if you're interested - Metroid Prime 3 preview channels.
Then, you can purchase more channel. For 5 bucks, try the Internet channel, or buy a few Virtual Console games.
I feel you have to buy them from a store and download them.
Not unbelievably sure though.
You download channels from Wii Ware on the Wii Shop Channel or buy Virtual Console games from the Wii Shop Channel.
