What is a GPU?

there's on in the wii. What's it for? mines broken

Answers:    GPU stands for Graphics Processing Unit. It is the chip that handle the graphics. All game consoles enjoy them and so do PCs.

Unless Nintendo specifically told you it was worn out after inspecting it for themselves, I seriously doubt your GPU is broken.

If your Wii is not functioning, you can send it to Nintendo for repair. Since they haven't even be out for a year, the warranty should still be good.

Here is the Nintendo Official Support site. You can find answers and the phone number for repairs.
