I just ordered a digital audio cable to hook up my Xbox 360 to my Dolby Digital beneficiary. Every web site i check out tell me you have to disconnect the audio jacks to hook up the digital audio cord. I would approaching to have it hooked up to my TV and my heir. Can I do that?
Answers:
Yes, you can have the audio connected to both your TV and beneficiary at the same time. I do this next to most of my devices since I don't always want to use the surround nouns system.
Sound will come out of both simultaneously, so you may have to turn down your TV's volume while using the surround nouns (it'll sound rather odd otherwise, but won't disrupt anything.)
