i used to have an inspired xbox and then it broke. i remember i have bought a controller from radioshack that was close to $15 and it worked like a charm. intuitively i liked have the black and white buttons where they be. (down under the abxy buttons) do they form those for the 360 with the guide button or will the original work on the 360 with out the guide. thank you
Answers: Unfortunately, no they do not.
For the 360, the white and black buttons hold been transformed into bumper buttons (the buttons resting on the controller) so instead of 1 L and 1 R buttons there 4 of them in a minute, with two on respectively side.
And unfortunately, at hand is no Original Xbox controller that works with the 360 because the controller port for the 360 is duplicate size as a usb port and the green X on the controller acts as an actual button for the 360, where on earth it has no use on the Original Xbox controller.
