Can you scrutinize movies on a ps2 from a flash drive ?

like can i plug contained by a flash drive into my ps2 and watch movies ?

im pretty sure you can.
when i connect my digital cam to it, it finds the movies on it (although they are in an unplayable format)

but if they be the right format, i could play it without a problem i am pretty sure.
