Is the hunt for the Nintendo Wii getting crazy?
Did you buy a Wii for Christmas? If so, how much did you pay?
Answers: Ran across a Wii final month and bought it figuring I'd supply grandbabies for Christmas, but mommy said no, that babies were too youthful for video games, so I kept it for them to play with us at our house. But after playing near ours, grandbabies told mommy that if she wouldn't let them hold a Wii, they were moving within with us, so she call me last Saturday afternoon and told me she changed her mind.
And bright and precipitate the very subsequent day (Sunday morning) I get on line at Best Buy at 6 am, and a touch after the store opened at 8am, I walk out with another Wii console for grandbabies for Christmas. Paid the $249 regular retail price for that one too.
I've in fact bought a total of 4 Wii consoles over the last few months--the other 2 be for friends who live in remote areas of Wisconsin where on earth there aren't the leading shopping centers we have here contained by Chicagoland. I bought all at the regular stores for the standard retail price of $249. It's a moment ago been a situation of finding out which stores are getting them and standing in queue. 2 hours was the most I have to wait.
Personally I agree, it's crazy that citizens are outbidding each other to overpay for these consoles from the scalpers, when Gamestop is offering rainchecks for the Wii so you can own something to put under the tree, and guaranteeing labour of a Wii console in January.
