Falcon Chip?
how do you know if you have one within your xbox (i recently get mine for christmas)
Answers: Falcon is just the code pet name used by MS to replace the 90 nm CPU chips with the 65 nm chips. The 65 nm chips are cheaper and they run seriously cooler so it's supposed to help decrease the red ring of death.
The surest course to know if your 360 has the Falcon chip is to look for a white sticker on the outside of the box. Look for something that say 175W. If you see it, then you own the Falcon chip. If you see 203 W, then you may or may not enjoy the Falcon chip. If you have the 203W, look for Team FDOU, Lot 734 or next, and it's made on or after August 24, 2007 (I think that's the correct date, but if it's not, I'm with the sole purpose 1 or 2 days off).
You can also use a digital camera and a flash light to look into the inside of the 360 and see if you hold the Falcon chip. It's rather complicated so a short time ago stick with the 2 previous methods.
