Buy a new one, that way if something is wrong with it you can take it back, and register for warranty.
thick PS2 for $80 and get some games.
I think you should buy the new one because if something goes wrong u can exchange or return it for full value.
buy the new one for 129.99, to older ps2 has alot of problems
Buy the used thick, a network adapter, a hardrive and HD Advance.
