I keep my PS3 over a wooden table. The table is covered with a piece of cloth and resting on that a piece of plastic. On top of all this I hold my PS3. Lately I saw that there seem to be a steady humming sound coming from my PS3 as soon as I turned it on. This have never happened past. What was even more weirder be the fact that when i touched and held on to its side the nouns ceased. So I granted to keep it within a vertical position and then the nouns stopped. Can anyone explain what happened?
Answers: Most possible the fan be causing some sort of shuddering while running. When you touched the PS3, you stabilized the PS3 which stopped the humming. When placed vertically, something must have stabilized. Not a big article to worry in the region of.
