Whats up next to my PS3 overheating so well?
Answers: The PS3 really doesnt overheat that smoothly to be honest. What I would recommend doing is make sure the PS3 have access to a nice airflow, and provide 4 inches on both side of the PS to have room to gain the air within. I think you should be ok the PS might not be getting plenty air.
Idon't know whats up next to yourPS3 but the PS3 doesn't overheat. I've had mine surrounded by an entertainment system since 11/06 and the thing hasn't overheated once. And I play for hours and hours. I would christen Sony if you are having this problem as virtually not a soul has overheating issues. You almost nouns like a 360 fanboy trying to spawn something up. Good Luck with you "overheating" PS3.
I would, if it's possible for your set-up to be exact, take the PS3 out of the entertainment center and put it lying on the unit.
It get pretty hot in those things, especially near the kind of grill that the PS3 puts out.
With all my systems, and how hot they run, I get rid of my old entertainment center and switched to ventilate shelving like they own in bakeries. Overheating hasn't be a problem since then.
I don't know who these Sony fanboys ruminate they're fooling, but the PS3 runs hotter than any other system, It's like standing by the exhaust of a Laundromat if I ever enjoy to get trailing that thing while it's running. And i'm not an xbox fanboy any, I just nickname 'em like I see 'em
ps3's dont usually bake up that easy i suppose u should buy a cooling system from http://www.superufo.com/product_html/pla...
My PS3 (and I've gone through two of them) puts out a lot of fry. It hasn't over heated or given my any errors or shut down or anything but it does get tremendously hot, almost to the point where I can't even pick it up.
The PS3 does create alot of grill, but does have a drastically efficient cooling system to agreement with this. The certainty that it is in an entertainment center is probably why it is overheating, as the entertainment center traps the heated nouns that is output fromj the system and ends up recirculating impossible to tell apart air, sliminating the entire functionality of the PS3's fan-based cooling system. The PS3 is competent of running 24/7, you just enjoy to have sufficient space around it to allow it to cool properly.
Are you sure it's over heat or just getting hot?
If it be over heating you would be getting errors or the system wouldn't work till it be colled down.
The system does get hot, especially if you own it in an entertainment center. I own mine in an entertainment center beside a glass door and hold yet to hold any problems and I run it for hours on end.
And if it is really overheating, later don't place it in an entertainment center. I'm sure you don't own ur 360 in in that or it woulda melted by presently.
these clowns who say PS( swarm a letter/number in) does not overheat must be SONY employees or sale people. SONY's stuff overheats. The solitary way these things are cool is if they are surrounded by a room with a dutiful air conditioner and a vent right beneath and they are turned off after smaller amount that an hour or so of play.
SAVE YOUR RECEIPT because sony does not care otherwise
