Another great shooting team game is SOCOM Confrontation. You can buy it without the headset for $40 and it's a great game. But it's online individual. I don't know if that affects anything but it may be a bad thing for some ethnic group. You could also just wait somewhat longer and buy Resistance Fall of Man 2 or some of the other shooter games coming out.
I almost forgot, Bioshock may be a game you'd like to seize. It's not exactly a shooter, but it is first-person and it has some guns in it. It is an amazing winter sport and it shouldn't leave your boyfriend dissapointed. wow, unimpressed with COD4, thats a 1st, but at smallest he liked R62, both sick games.
Although I have not played the following games, they are outstandingly rated at the moment: Farcry, Mercenaries 2, Metal Gear Solid 4 and Fallout and bad company. (most of these are 2 or 3 i freshly cant remember the latest versions). But they are similar army type games.

Vegas Six is a sick and boring game and he found COD4 boring? COD4 is the best online activity ever. He gets kicked out not because of cheaters but because of his weak internet nouns. And for one, there is no such thing as cheaters on COD4 online. If you do, you will be not permitted from the network. Sony is constantly monitoring their servers for things like this. COD4 online skills is acquire thru constant practice. Everyone gets killed surrounded by there, not just him.

Assassins Creed be a favorite of mine. Metal Gear Solid 4 is also a good one. And one of the best games on PS3 is Grand Theft Auto 4. Ok, but seriously you need to stop getting him games for no rationale. Get him a game every once in a while if you hold to. Ghost Recon Adavanced Warfighter 2.
