How can I seize my PS3 to start working again?

Not sure if this has anything to do with the problem, but ultimate night I was playing GT5 prologue and I turned rotten the power whilst it was saving, so the activity no longer worked. I tried to delete the corrupted file but it wouldn't let me.

Anyway, the rest of the PS3 seem to be working fine. After playing COD4 for a few hours I turned it off. Next morning I turn on my PS3 and a message pops up saying something resembling, "the files on the hard disk are corrupted and must be restored, please press OK to continue". So I click on OK and it restores in in the region of 1 minute, then the ps3 starts up again, but the same message comes put a bet on. Its just a never ending cycle.

Is within anyway I can restore the full system without using the PS3 menus?

Turn it on, see if it still doesnt work. If not, turn sour again and wait for 10 seconds. If still problem persist, call up SONY. Take out the hard drive and bring it to your local shop.
