No nouns from onkyo subwoofer?

I have a powered Onkyo SKW-530 subwoofer hooked up to an Onkyo HTR530 addressee. There is no sound comming out of it. There is a green buoyant that says that it is on even when the reciever is sour (it should be red when the reciever is off). When i change the output smooth it makes a boom echo. There is nothing visibly wrong next to it and the cable looks fine. The cable is a monster cable and it is hooked up in the right direction. I tried hooking up another cord to it and the sub still have the same problem. I don't know why it stopped working. Could it be because when I rearrange the sub box around in my living room I unplugged the patch cord and not the power cord. I have the patch cord unplugged for two days with the power cord plugged into the outlet. Did it fry the amplifier contained by the sub box. I plugged the sub itself into the right speaker output and it made noise so I know the subwoofer itself still works. Can correct parts be replaced. Is it worth it. I need bass! Please relief!

Answers:    Maybe you need to reverse your rca wires. You could hold inverted the polarity causing a minor short. This should be impermanent.

Monster Cable are infamous for selling incorrectly or poor labled polariy/direction lables with their wires and casing.

Ask the expert at Best Buy if they sell "Polarity Labled" Monster Brand Subwoofer Wires.

Make sure they are black colored or you you could incorectly plug it to the wrong output surrounded by you receiver.
economically, you must apply the bilton to the correct nob and turn the dujitur to the left. that should create sound : )
