Logitech Surrond Sound near xbox 360.?

Last week I went out and get the Logitech x-540 speaker system from bestbuy. I read alot about it online and be going to get it on Ebay but circuit city put it on mart for 50$ So i got it in attendance. I hooked it up to my pc and its great, awesome surrond nouns. But I want to hook it up to my xbox. The only be I can do this is to use a little adapter they supplied that take the red and white rca cables and combines them into a stardard notebook jack that then plugs into the sub. This really isnt true surrond nouns and it looks like I call for a optical cable from the xbox to the sub but the sub doesnt have optical surrounded by. So my question is, can I buy a converter that change optical to the a form my sub can take? Can I buy a contemporary sub that has that nouns?(I was thinking roughly speaking getting a new one contained by the future anyway one next to more power)
Any help on how I can receive the xbox to have true surrond nouns on these speakers would be great.

Answers:    I try to answer peoples questions as best as I can but I hatred to be the bearer of bad word. I will provide you with the intermingle that supports my comments. The thing beside that system is that it is a 5.1 system but it is not a decoded surround nouns system. First. true surround sound systems will convey you what systems they support (Dolby digital, DTS, Dolby logic...) this does not advertise any of them. secondly, it does not enjoy an optical port, the reason optical cable are used is becasue the surround sound information is closely and while rca cables can single carry two signals, fiber OPTiC cable carry much more information. (5 digital signals of what respectively speaker is supposed to be doing) I have never see a converter but if one existed , it would just convert your signal from a 5 passageway signal back to a 2 gutter signal which defeats the purpose. Lastly it advertise that you will get 5.1 surround EFFECTS from a two furrow system. It goes on to natter about uniform nouns without crooked sound. Well the notion of surround sound is that the nouns is uneven and to be exact what makes a surround nouns system unique. You dont want the perspective noise trailing you to be as loud as the main stuff up in front of you. So deeply this is taking the right and left channel and sending the identical signals to adjectives of the speakers. You could potentially buy the Z-5500 sub which has just about 6 inputs (including optical) and it does have a digital decoder, so it will do true surround, but if you buy the sub, i dont know how much cheaper you can get hold of the sub versus the whole system. Well Hope i help goo luck and heres the link.

You don't call for an optical connection for a subwoofer. There should be stereo cable from your beneficiary to your sub.

It's interesting how X360 and PS3 games have better surround nouns than most blockbuster movies.

Gamers have it better at hand.
