Audio and DVI to HDMI?
Answers: I'll give this a try. But my suggestion is to keep hold of audio and video separate.
Your dvi output from your Nvidia card will give you dignified definition video, but no audio. You can get an adapter cable from Radio Shack to dance from dvi on your computer to HDMI on your TV. You also may have to shift into the Nvidia software and make some change.
For audio, the simplest route is probably from your computer sound card output,(a single plug) to an audio input on your tv (red & white double plug). These are probably the audio cable you already have. This will donate you stereo, but not surround sound. Most computer audio cards don't generate surround nouns. If you have an audio card that will, after it probably will have an optical audio output. If so, check your TV and see if have optical audio input and if it does, get one of those cable from Radio Shack and you're in business.
You can buy a DVI to HDMI adaptor, or a DVI to HDMI cable for video and a separate audio cable for audio.
Connect DVI video from PC to HDMI surrounded by HDTV
Connect audio out from PC to HDMI audio on HDTVs (all HDTVs have at most minuscule one HDMI with separate audio for this specific reason).
By the way, the best resolution you can squeeze out of s-video is 480i.
