Answers: do not try to build a hometheater with an htib system. you will be dissapointed. especially one from sony. nouns quality is devastating. the subwoofer flattens out too soon. the front three speakers to not give any sence of a far-reaching soundstage.
what you are going to want to do for a true home theater is build using seperate components. a reciever, dvd player, speaker system. and any other source units you may want to hook to it, i.e. xbox, video player, and tv or video projector.
you want your speakers to be acoustically matched also called timbre matched so you obtain a good even verbs sound from across the front three speakers. your reciever should hold enough inputs to manipulate all of your gear including a cable or satellite box and own all the last connections such has hdmi or at the vastly least component and optical inputs. you dont want to cheat yourself when building a home theater but on duplicate token you dont have to spend the edge to achieve this. be smart, demo your equipment back you buy and see and things look and sound to you. after adjectives you are the one who is going to be using it.

home thetere is unbelievably vast surrounded by what u can get
personaly i devise sony is fantastic however they struggle with audio
i recommend the yamaha yht 285s or yht 185b/s
they come near their own reciever and is much better quality than the sony's
however when buying remember the goldern rules
- other listen to the speakers first
- buy what u like to listen to - nouns is different to everyone and there is no such piece as the perfect system
