Why do some films stop playing on my DVD player?

Answers:    are they burned movies? they could be bad burns.
If they're store bought next they may have a cut into
Or your lens is broken/starting to go
It may also be a really cheap DVD player... within that case upgrade to something that didn't cost $20. (the $50 work freshly fine for regular dvd playing)
That usually indicates scratches on the DVD.
