Web-based LCD tv calibration site?
Answers: Yes near are but $50.00 for a Digital Video Essentials!?!?!? From where? Amazon.com have it for 9.99 with standard shipping it shouldnt be more than $15.00
Suppose at hand was a website next to test pattern.
You would hook up your computer, go to the site and adjust the brightness, contrast, color for the DVI input on your TV.
How would this sustain set your component inputs? Or the HDMI inputs?
The point of calibration is to adjust the TV settings and the source electronics to give true black, red, and standardize the brightness.
But this involves the source electronics and the TV electronics. This is why better television have independent settings for respectively input.
Best option is to buy/rent a THX certified dvd and calibrate your tv according to the test included (thx optimizer). They are much cheaper and work fine. For details refer to the link.
