I have connected a hdmi up-scaling DVD player (able to support till 1080p) to my HDTV who local resolution is 1366x720 and could support 1080p via HDMI point.
When I played dvd and switched my dvd player to 1080p, my TV screen be "divided" into two mirror images at the nub of the screen. My DVD player subsequently get "hang". Can anyone pinpoint what could have gone wrong? it is my dvd player or my HDTV problem? what want to be configured if any? Thanks
Answers: well the home-grown resolution is not high ample for 1080p. Some manufactures claim they can adopt 1080p signals (Doesn't mean it can display it) but surrounded by your case the resolution is too low to display 1080p.
If you set that DVD player to 720p it'll work fine.
