Do my MP3s deserve a hifi?

I have thousands of mp3s on my computer, mostly at 128-192kbits, and i want to play them on a personal hi-fi set.

Do you think purchasing a nouns card, a receiver and a 5.1 speaker priced $ 900 within total is a good theory?

Details:
Creative Live 24 bit $60
Marantz 301 with dolby pro logic II $200
Paradigm CT 110 speakers $650

FYI, the heir and hifi is considered beginner horizontal for audiophiles.

Is my MP3 that good to deserve a hifi? Or should i step for a desktop 5.1 costing about $60?

Answers:    That is a great Hifi set up. Your Mp3s will nouns their very best next to that set up. But why just inhibit it to mp3s? start a LP collection or use as a smoking PC sound system.
MP3s aren't living things you know
Start out cheap, and next if you're satisfied attain something more expensive. I'd never even CONTEMPLATE spending that much money on a hi-fi myself :). A well-mannered alternative to speakers is a pair of sturdy, high-ranking quality telephone.
That's up to you. An Mp3 file is compressed at some horizontal by definition. How much is up to the source. Most of the high frequency content is discarded, as test conducted by the Mpeg committee and various companies, found most relatives unable to concentrate on adjectives frequencies equally.

Having said that, a lot of family in the non audio phile segment of the population couldn't communicate the difference between Mp3 and CD audio, much smaller amount anything higher bit rate.

I suggest you run a try-out of a piece of music in both disc audio and MP3 through your present system and see how much difference you detect. If you don't detect much change from disc to MP3, but you don't like the disc either, consequently you want to upgrade....

The Creative Labs card at 24 bit is using DSP sets, which are very large quality...It have the capability of scan rates up to 48Khz, which is considered AES (standards set by the Audio Engineering Society) compliant. Marantz have always be a great audio brand for quality reproduction...but I'm not au fait with the speakers through any review or personal experience so I can't broach an opinion on them.

An MP3 at 19Kbps is a pretty darn big quality for MP3....
I have an idea that you're going to quickly discover the foolishness of have spent any money on hifi to play MP3s, or having spent any money on MP3s to play on hifi.
5.1 Channel speaker systems are not for playing MP3's, they're for watching movies.

Unless you spend like mad of time on your computer watching movies as well as listen to music, spending $900 is not a good investment on computer audio.

Your MP3's at 128-192kbps is average point, meaning you will hear some artifacts on a "HiFi" setup. Since better equipment give you the better detail and clarity, it will also enhance the flaws in your music.

In Short: Don't Waste Your Money!
Hi. The deep-seated rules of High Fidelity sound reproduction are other the same .What is record on the software cannot be improved by the Source component. If information is lost,dog-eared,distorted,changed or altered by the Source nothing else down the manacle can make up for,or repair it.You must put something moral into the system to get something angelic out.
My opinion is that this may economically be overkill.
I'm thinking that you may well hold all this 'sound',and for a time computer screen which might not be surrounded by keeping with the talent
of the speakers.
Or sooner or later, you may preference to play a dvd....
