Which make better, Optical Fiber vs Coax cable between receiver/amp and DVD player?

Answers:    the obtical cable will perform for a while better.

the coax cable can be affected by electromagnetic interference, which an optical can not.

but surrounded by terms of power they are the same.
That is going to depend greatly on what cable, heir, and DVD player. Distance of the connection, etc.. To plentiful variables to give a definitive answer.

In nonspecific, good trait coax is good for runs 1m-2m and below. over 2 m optical.

But by far the best hook up is discrete audio channels, next to performance cable, no compression or conversion. XLR balanced conectors would be the categorical best. Remember audio is not digital it is and always will be analog.
In my experience, the coax cable provide a more stable and reliable connection, and are smaller number prone to intermittant problems.
