HDMI interview....?

I have a 50" DLP TV that supports 1080p near an HDMI input. In order to procure the full effect of a BlueRay or HD DVD player is it as simple as buying the player and hooking my TV up to the player via HDMI cable?

No need to verbs about surround nouns or anything like that. I freshly want to make sure it is a one step simple process. I don't believe it is the HDMI 1.3 or doesn`t matter what that means.....

If in attendance is anything else I need to know please edify me.

Answers:    Yes, it's that simple. Just buy the HDMI cable and hook it up.

When you switch on the TV and the player, it might take some time to detect the hd signal via hdmi so continue for a few seconds and don't achieve into panic.

Set your player to provide 1080p signal and also to upscale your dvd's.

Later for better point, shut off adjectives the other connections that you'll not use if your player and tv have the likelihood to do so.

One last word- Buy a polite quality cable and check it once contained by the shop before purchasing.
All you SHould involve is the HDMI cable. If you have a switch on it,as the xbox 360 HDMI cable does, after you know to switch it to that setting.Configure the tv to that as well and you get it.
