I found a BOSE 321 surround system contained by classifieds for mart.?

Person selling it said that system has a warranty available because it's brand spanking new and it is still in unopened box. I'm suspicious more or less warranty because he won the system on a contest and does not have proof of purchase. Could anybody relay me is there any warranty available for that product.

Answers:    You would own to call Bose directly to find out.

Some companies (not basically Bose) refuse to honor warranty unless your receipt come from an 'authorized dealer'. This is to try and protect stores from being under-cut by internet sites that run on low profit beside no store costs.

But - Bose is not well respected. They sue anybody who tries to publish logical information about their speakers, they bazaar heavily to AARP members (old ethnic group with poor audible range and retirement money) and they have somewhat 'suspicious' road shows where on earth they run the sound through something like $5,000 worth of amps & equalizers, but tell race the speakers will sound like in their home.

I would avoid Bose. You can probably achieve better sound for smaller number money putting together your own receiver/DVD/Speaker package.

I own also heard folks here crying because they just upgraded to a HD or BluRay player - and the Bose systems dont tolerate you connect other equipment to them like a more adjectives AV receiver.
