Xbox 360 DVD player or standard DVD player?

I have hear that the Xbox 360 DVD player is not very polite, but I am wondering if it would be better than a standard DVD player. You my Xbox is hooked up to my HDTV via component cables, but I also own a standard DVD player hooked up via composite. Which would look better?

Answers:    Xbox 360 is a dvd player and the video output is going to look the same as a standard dvd player.

If you hold a computer hooked up to your HDTV then your computer will upconvert adjectives your DVD's to near HD point and look much better then360/standard DVD player. Just download VLC media player and you should own no problems.
The output would be similar with the connections adjectives the same. If you have it in mind digital composite then your dvd player will outperform your Xbox. I'm not sure exactly, because you haven't specified. On the undamaged, digital is better than analog (RCA connectors). Also realize that your dvd player is probably much cheaper to replace than your Xbox, so if your going to use one or the other to watch movies, be smart and use the dvd player. Save the Xbox for gaming.
