Do projector TVs enjoy speakers?

what is the best one for a 8x8 room

Answers:    Front or rear projection? Rear do, front might (but you wouldn't want to use them).

I can't answer which is "best" in need lot's more info. But for a small room you probably don't want a rear projector (too bulky). But if that's your choice (you would be watching from 4-5 ft away) move about for a <40" model (if they come that small!) or you will see too much graininess (for example 37" would be optimum at 7 ft (@720p) or 5 ft (@1080p)). See the 1st link for other conditions, or the 2nd relation for the whole article.

In a small room resembling that you would be much better off near a flatpanel HDTV (LCD given the small optimum screen size).
