Can you use surround nouns 5.1 through a freeview box ! to monitor average t.v?

and how. ?? i have a dell 26 tft blind.
all i want to do is survey normal t.v and listen to the surround nouns.
is this possiple if so how?

Answers:    It is sort of possible - you would get 5.1, but it would be made from the stereo signal by the surround nouns amplifier. Most freeview boxes connect through SCART - use a SCART to Phono adaptor and connect the yellow to a video input surrounded by the rear of the tv. Take the red and white and plug into a spare audio input, and devolution the settings on the amplifier to use 5.1 (Sometimes called "Theater").
It depends on the power of the freeview box, if you buy a crappy one for lb19,99 then probably not
