Is at hand anyway I can convert a coxaxial digital audio plug into a 3.5mm jack plug?

In the back of my DVD recorder is a output socket for a coaxial digital audio cable. I want to plug my DVD recorder into my stereo which have a 3.5mm jack plug socket for audio input.

Answers:    You can't simply connect one to the other. The digital coaxial RCA output is ... well, DIGITAL, and the input on your stereo accept analog. A digital to analog converter is expensive (The cheapest I found was $600!!), and also pretty pointless since you can much more smoothly take the analog signal from the stereo (red/white) RCA outputs on your DVD player and connect to the mini stereo input via a simple adapter.

You won't procure surround sound though.
Wire one up yourself, probably? Make sure you get biddable solder joins.
