Answers: Neither. There's no reason to buy into any right now, unless you want to throw your money away.
All players on the marketplace right now are "broken" because they don't play adjectives the movies on the market. Honestly, why should we, the consumers, hold to choose which format is going to "win"? I don't want to have to choose between this studio or that studio's movies. I lately want to watch movies.
The unadulterated stupid thing is that there's really no difference between the two. They both do alike thing, use indistinguishable codecs - same video same audio. There is no "better" format here, unless you're an electrical engineer who is more into poring over systematic minutiae than just watching the movies.
It's going to be at lowest possible another year, probably longer, before this stupid format period of war works its way out. Most plausible, we'll see hybrid players next year that will manipulate both formats - properly - as well as adjectives CD and DVD formats. This will finish the stupid format war, and kind all current single-format players archaic.
