What is up near this torpedo projector?
and consequently i saw this, i mean adjectives the reviews are great and it has a giant picture so
1.) why is it so cheap
and
2.) why is it basically ment for little kids
it cant be that bad can it? for solitary 150 i mean the cheapest actual projector i could find be like 600 capably jw on your thougts thanxs :)

Answers: It is listed as aimed at kids (and sold as a toy) because the relatively poor representation quality would solely be acceptable to a child.
The largest issue is the low and strange resolution (which Wal-mart do not list) of 960 x 240 pixels.
This means (assuming square pixels) the picture is 4 x as wide as it is high) or that the picture is vertically stretched, but either instrument very few pixels are used to receive up the vertical picture. To put this in perspective, the LOWEST element 'normal' widescreen projector would be 854x480 pixels.
Yes, there are more horizontal pixels (940 vs 854), but single half as lots vertical (240 vs 480).
The picture will be very 'blocky' ...i.e. lots of jaggies ... and fuzzy.
This say nothing nearly (probable) poor colour, poor optics, minimal video processing power and lack of brightness limiting the usefulness to a shadows room and relatively small screen.
In summary, if you haven't used a projector this may initially give the impression of being like other (i.e. there will be a 50"-70" picture), but you would VERY briskly find the dim, fuzzy image starts to bother you, and verbs you have idle your money. Sorry, but you get what you take-home pay for.
If you don't mind a poor picture (and would accept a smaller representation (say 30-40") you could try it, but I'd advise good your pennies and looking for a used, refurbished or discontinued model in the $300-$400 list (although be aware replacing the lamp is typically ~$350 every 3000 hrs of use).
